Sandra Bullock slams those who differentiate between “adopted children”

What makes a mother? Is it just the process of carrying a child and giving birth or being there for that little bundle of joy and doing all you can to raise them into respected individuals?

Actress Sandra Bullock is a proud mother of two wonderful kids, 10-year-old Louis and 8-year-old Laila. Bullock was highest paid actress in 2010 and 2014 and was named The Most Beautiful Woman in 2015 by People magazine. In addition to that, she was on the list of Time’s 100 most influential people in the world in 2010.

However, besides her successful career, she seems she’s most proud of being a mom.

Bullock’s kids are adopted, and people calling them “adopted children” is what makes her really angry. She believes that no child should ever be labeled in such manner, because she is a mother to these incredible children as much as any mother is to the kid she had given birth to.

During an interview with InStyle, the Oscar winning actress brought up the question about children who are adopted and said, “Let’s all just refer to these kids as “our kids.” Don’t say “my adopted child.” No one calls their kid their “IVF child” or their “oh, shit, I went to a bar and got knocked-up child.” Let just say, “our children.”

She tends to provide for Louis and Laila a regular upbringing and tends to keep them out of the spotlight as much as possible. Bullock knows best that being a mother is so much more than just giving birth and we all have to agree with her. Her kids are lucky to have her as a mom.
