A father read his 3-year-old daughter a bedtime tale and listened to her prayers, which finished with her stating, “God bless Mommy, God bless Daddy, God bless Grandma and goodbye Grandpa.” ‘Why did you say goodbye, Grandpa?’ inquired the father. The little girl answered, “I don’t know, daddy, it just seemed like the thing to do.”
The next day, my grandfather died. The father considered it an odd coincidence. A few months later, the father put the girl to bed and listened to her prayers, which were as follows: “God bless Mommy, God Bless Daddy, and goodbye Grandma.” The next day, the grandma died. “Holy crap,” the parent thought, “this kid is communicating with the other side.”‘
Several weeks later, as the girl was going to bed, her father heard her say, “God bless Mommy and goodbye Daddy.” He almost went into shock. He couldn’t sleep all night and awoke at the crack of morning to go to his office. He was uneasy as a cat, ate lunch, and watched the clock all day. He figured if he could make it until midnight, he’d be fine.
He felt comfortable in the office, so instead of leaving at the end of the day, he stayed, drinking coffee, checking his watch, and leaping at every sound. Finally, midnight arrived; he sighed a sigh of relief and returned home. When he arrived home, his wife commented, “I’ve never seen you work so late. “What is the matter?”
He went on: “I don’t want to talk about it, I’ve just spent the worst day of my life.” She went on: “You think you had a bad day, you’ll never believe what happened to me,” … “This morning my boss died in the middle of a meeting!”
