Remembering a Drag Racing Star: Lizzy Musi’s Journey and Legacy

There are moments in life when the loss of someone hits hard, and none more so when that someone is young and vibrant. That’s how the world feels after bidding farewell to Lizzy Musi, the 33-year-old star of “Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings.”

Lizzy’s life was cut short after a courageous battle with stage IV breast cancer. The heartbreaking news was shared by her father via Facebook on June 27.

In his post, he said: “Surrounded by her Family, in the comfort of her own home, Lizzy was called to heaven at 11:25 pm tonight. Thank you for all the prayers and support throughout her battle. At this time, the family would like to have time to process, grief [sic] and make arrangements in peace. We will give an update as soon as we have information to share.”

It was just last year when Lizzy first shared her diagnosis of breast cancer on Instagram.

In 2023, she was diagnosed with triple-negative stage 4 breast cancer, a form so fierce that it had already spread to her liver and lymph nodes by the time it was discovered.

Lizzy chose to face her fight head-on and with transparency, sharing her medical journey and the various treatments she underwent. This included a special liver-targeted treatment she received in Germany.

Her rise to fame began alongside her father, Pat Musi, on the Discovery Channel show: “Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings.” Besides her television stardom, Lizzy was a formidable racer, boasting multiple Pro Street World Championships.
