New updates on Oprah Winfrey’s health

Like all of us, Oprah Winfrey was quite affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and spent most of her time alone in her home in Montecito, California. She only left the house a few times.

Recently, Oprah Winfrey spoke about her health following the pandemic. She posted on her new platform, Oprah Daily, that she feels like a „superhuman” after receiving the two doses of COVID-19 vaccine.

Oprah Winfrey was born in 1943 in Kosciusko, Mississippi and was raised by her grandmother for a time, but then moved in with her mother.

Life with her mother was not an easy one, and at the age of 14 she was pregnant. Then Oprah went to Nashville to live with her father.

Unfortunately, Oprah’s baby boy was born prematurely and died shortly after birth.

Although she went through a lot of unpleasant things at such a young age, Oprah decided to go ahead and turn all these events into something positive.

At the age of 17, she was already a confident woman and determined to win the Miss Black Tennessee beauty pageant.

The contest was sponsored by a radio station that noticed Oprah and offered her a job on the radio.

Oprah attended Tennessee State University on a full scholarship and majored in communications. However, she left university before graduation because she received an offer for a job, and in 1986 she returned to university to graduate.

Oprah Winfrey moved to Baltimore, Maryland, where she began co-anchoring the six o’clock news at WJZ-TV.

Later, she advanced and met a person who would help her change her life. Her mentor was very harsh with her every day, so she was afraid of being fired every day.

Oprah Winfrey got the opportunity to host the TV show People Are Talking, where she stayed for 8 years. There she met a lot of people and made friends.

She then moved to Chicago for a show called AM Chicago, which in 1986 was renamed The Oprah Winfrey Show.

This show was a real success and everyone was watching it, but in 2011, after 25 years, Oprah Winfrey decided to end it.

She said she loves the show, but knows when it should end. She is very grateful for the most beautiful 25 years of her life.

In addition to the show, Oprah also had several roles in movies.

In 2015, she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Motion Picture of the Year for Selma, in which she was the producer. According to IMDB, Oprah Winfrey became the first African American woman to be nominated for Best Picture.

Oprah donates a lot of money to charity, and during the show, she gave all kinds of gifts to the audience.

In April 2020, Oprah donated $ 12 million to help those affected by COVID-19.

Oprah said that even if the pandemic passes, people remain affected, especially those who could no longer work and lived from one salary to another.

She spent quarantine in Montecito, California with her husband, Stedman Graham. Fortunately for her, Oprah allowed herself to spend more good time in quarantine than other people, but that period was difficult for everyone.

She said that she is passionate about gardening and most of the time she takes care of it herself. She also posted some videos on Instagram where she shows her fans how she has her garden.

Oprah said she relaxes a lot when she sits in the garden.

In 2019, she said she suffered from pneumonia and arrived at the emergency room. She had to go to a specialist, which is why she postponed her plans and focused on her health.

Oprah told her website, Oprah Daily, that she had received the two doses of the vaccine and that she almost cried for happiness when she received the first dose, because she still had sensitive lungs due to pneumonia and was afraid of COVID-19. .

After the second dose, she felt pretty bad. She got fever, chills and all the „classic” symptoms, but she was happy to have the opportunity to access the vaccine.

Oprah hopes that everything returns to normal as soon as possible.
