Dale Earnhardt was a force in NASCAR, known for his aggressive driving and record-breaking achievements. His influence on the sport was undeniable, but his impact extended beyond the track. Today, his family carries on his legacy in racing, business, and other ventures.

Earnhardt's life was cut short after a fatal crash on February 18, 2001, during the final lap of the Daytona 500. His sudden passing left a lasting mark on NASCAR, with drivers and fans mourning one of the sport's most celebrated figures.

Beyond his career, Earnhardt was a father to four children: Kerry, Kelley, Dale Jr., and Taylor. His children and nine grandchildren have pursued various careers, with some following in his footsteps on the racetrack and others excelling in different fields.

Dale Earnhardt's Eldest Son: Kerry Earnhardt

Kerry Earnhardt, born in 1969, is Dale's eldest son. From 1998 to 2009, he raced professionally, competing in NASCAR Xfinity Series events and other racing circuits. After stepping away from racing, Kerry shifted his focus to business.

In 2011, he and his wife, Rene Earnhardt, launched the Earnhardt Collection, a brand specializing in home design and furniture. The company, in partnership with Schumacher Homes, describes its work as “award-winning custom home designs” inspired by nature.

Outside of his business endeavors, Kerry is also involved in motivational speaking. He and Rene have three children: Bobby Dale, Jeffrey, and Kayla Earnhardt.

Bobby Dale Earnhardt pursued a career in racing, continuing the family's legacy in motorsports. He has competed in professional racing and shares his personal life on social media, where he appears with his partner and children.

Jeffrey Earnhardt has also followed the family tradition by racing in NASCAR. His social media posts highlight his love for outdoor activities such as fishing and horseback riding, often alongside his partner.

Kayla Earnhardt took a different path, becoming a rodeo competitor. She is a member of the Tigers' Women's Rodeo Team and has actively competed in the sport.

In August 2024, she turned 21 years old, and in October 2024, she got engaged. She and her fiancé have a daughter.

Kelley Earnhardt Miller: Racing Executive & Business Leader

Kelley Earnhardt Miller is the second child of the legendary racer. She grew up immersed in racing, spending much of her childhood engaging in activities like deer hunting, riding motorcycles, and racing cars.

Although her father had concerns about her pursuing a career in motorsports, she remained determined to follow her passions. Kelley attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC) and initially spent three years at UNCC Wilmington before transferring back to finish her degree.

During her time away from home, her father sent her flowers with a note saying, “It's been so long since I've seen you. I love you. I forgot what you look like.” This prompted her to move back and complete her studies at UNCC.

Upon returning home, she made a deal with her father that she could race cars and have her own apartment. In 1993, she began racing in her brother's orange Chevy Street Stock at Concord. Over time, she transitioned to late-model stock cars, racing at tracks such as Tri-County, Nashville, North Wilkesboro, Hickory, and Myrtle Beach.

Kelley balanced racing with a full-time job at Sports Image, which handled her father's product licensing. By 1997, Sports Image merged with Action Performance, where she continued to rise through the ranks. By the age of 27, she had secured a six-figure salary and had established herself in the business side of the racing world.

After her dad's passing, Kelley remained in the industry, becoming a co-owner and CEO of JR Motorsports, a racing team she runs alongside her younger brother, Dale Jr. She has played a major role in managing the business and ensuring the Earnhardt name remains a force in the industry.

Kennedy Elledge is 19 years old. While she maintains a more private life compared to her sister, she occasionally appears in family updates shared online.

Wyatt Miller has also made a name for himself in racing. His Instagram bio highlights his achievements as a 2024 Tulsa Shootout Restricted Micro Champion and a 2022 Millbridge Restricted Micro Champion. Calling himself “The Thriller,” he actively competes in winged and non-wing micro racing.

Dale Earnhardt Jr.: NASCAR Driver & Media Entrepreneur

Dale Earnhardt Jr. is Dale's third child. Like his father, he built a successful career in motorsports and became one of NASCAR's most recognized drivers. He began racing professionally in 1996 and went on to achieve multiple wins throughout his career.

Beyond racing, Dale Jr. has expanded his influence into media and business. He co-owns JR Motorsports, a professional stock car racing team, and has become a prominent NASCAR analyst.

He also founded Dirty Mo Media, a company that produces original racing-related content, including podcasts like The Dale Jr. Download and Door Bumper Clear. His Instagram bio lists him as a co-owner of multiple ventures, including FilterTime, High Rock Vodka, CARS Tour, and Whisky River.

Dale Jr. is married to Amy Earnhardt, and together they have two daughters: Isla Rose Earnhardt and Nicole Lorraine Earnhardt.

Isla Rose Earnhardt was born in April 2018. In February 2024, she attended her first Daddy-Daughter dance with Dale Jr. She has also accompanied her parents and younger sister to car racing events, including one in November 2024.

Nicole Lorraine Earnhardt was born in October 2020. In 2023, she and Isla attended the Talladega Fall Fest, where they enjoyed various activities together. By 2024, she had started school.

Taylor Earnhardt: Rodeo Competitor & Rancher

Taylor Earnhardt is the youngest child of the late racer's brood. Unlike her siblings, who pursued careers in motorsports, she has dedicated her life to rodeo and ranching.

According to her Instagram bio, she is a professional rodeo competitor, cattle rancher, wife, mother, and spokesperson for the Dale Earnhardt Foundation.

Taylor has kept a relatively private life compared to her siblings, but she frequently shares glimpses of her work with horses and ranching.

She has also remained involved in preserving her father’s legacy through her role in the Dale Earnhardt Foundation, which focuses on charitable initiatives. Taylor has a daughter, Sage Nicole Putnam.

Sage Nicole Putnam is often featured in Taylor's social media posts. In one picture, she is seen sitting on a horse, and in another, she appears to be preparing a meal using a miniature kitchen set. Other pictures show her in her mother's arms, smiling happily.

More than two decades after his passing, Dale's family continues to make an impact across different industries. His children and grandchildren have not only carried on the Earnhardt name but have also built legacies of their own.

Whether through racing, business, or rodeo, they have each contributed to their respective fields while honoring the family's history.
