See what one mom did to her child’s school pencils and why it went viral

Every day we wake up and send our kids to school, we get curious about all the things that they will do. We sometimes even worry about them, especially when they are very young.

Although most children know that they are loved by their families, it is even better to give them a little reminder throughout the day to put a smile on their face. It can even help build their confidence at such a young age.

One mom took this idea to the next level when she sent her son to school. Not only did she put a smile on her son’s face, but also melted the heard of his teacher who shared what she witnessed on social media. She certainly was not expecting the response that she saw after.

Amanda Cox is the teacher who shared this beautiful story as she explained that she wanted the children to share their pencils together when the school’s supply began to run low.

“Today I was running low on pencils, so I asked all of my kids to pull out any of my pencils that they had in their desks. I had one student ask me if he could keep his pencils that his mom gave him for school,” she posted on her Facebook profile.

Amanda agreed but the little boy then decided that he did in fact want to share his pencils with his class mates.

Heart Melting

As Amanda was going to sharpen them, she noticed the heart melting hand writing messages that were written on them.

The little boy was confident and happy to share his pencils, he was not embarrassed about the little messages that were on them.

She added, “THESE are the things that we should be reminding our kids (both parents AND teachers). Imagine the look on a child’s face when they are reminded that they are important, talented, loved, knowledgeable and so much more.”

Share the Love

Amanda encourages supporting and building confidence in children by reminding them about how special they are.

“Help them know that someone believes in them and is proud of them in everything they do. Even if you think it is cheesy or you don’t have enough time or that you will have little impact, remember that you may be the only one telling and reminding them these things and EVERY kid needs to know their value,” she added.

Amanda’s post has reached over 200,000 likes in just one week of her posting.

All children deserve to know that they are special and loved. It helps them build their own confidence and personalities.
