Four Canadian teens were skateboarding in an underground parking lot when a young girl, who was drunk, and an older looking man came walking behind them. The four teens thought about just looking the other way and going on about their business but they had a feeling, or a “hunch” that something wasn't right. So, they acted on it instead of looking the other way and they decided to follow them.
It was a good thing they did because, although the young, 15-year-old girl looked drunk, and most likely the older man bought her the alcohol, she wasn't alright. They decided to stop and find out what was going on. They asked her if she was alright, and she seemed stressed out and scared. The older man said he was a “friend of her father” but they had a feeling he was lying. So, they kept following them more to make sure the girl was alright. The man seemed to be touching her like he was her boyfriend.
The four teenage skateboarding teens became heroes on this day because they acted on the “hunch” they had instead of letting them go. It was a good thing they did too, although they ended up getting into a fight with the older man. It seems he was sexually assaulting her, or trying to. The boys took action when he tried to get away and fought him. They got hit a little bit but they are ok, and so is the young girl, because of them.
They were afraid when the cops got there and took off. The older man was arrested for sexually assaulting a teenage girl. However, because they fought with the man, they left because they were afraid they were in trouble by the cops. However, the police just wanted to recognize them for the help they gave this girl. If it wasn't for these four boys, she may have been raped
The cops finally found the boys and recognized them for the heroes they are. They were honored at the Chief's Award Gala in Calgary, Canada.
