Howie Mandel’s Golden Buzzer On America’s Got Talent

Courtney Hadwin is a teenager from County Durham, England, she is 13 years old and a few days ago she auditioned for America´s Got Talent.

Courtney appeared on stage looking very shy and nervous, Mel B one of the judges asked Courtney “how are you?” and she responded “a little nervous”.
In order to make her feel a bit more comfortable in front of the big crowd, Mel B told the young girl that it was totally understandable to be nervous and they talk about Courtney´s favorite subject at school, she said music was her favorite. It was time for the show to begin! Courtney got herself in position and waited for the music to begin.

As the music kicked in Courtney turned into an amazing performer on stage, she has a unique incredible voice and an amazing attitude! She sang Otis Reading´s Hard to Handle and she truly felt the music, is not every day that you get to see a performance like that!

Her performance was outstanding and powerful, the judges were very impressed and shocked! When the audition ended all four judges were on their feet giving Courtney a standing ovation.
Simon Cowell said “Bloody hell, Courtney. You were this shy little thing when you came out and then you sing and you’re like a lion. I mean, genuinely, incredible.”
Howie said: “You are not from this era, you’re from a whole different era”
“I’m a huge Janis Joplin fan. Clive Davis goes to the Monterey music festival and sees this young girl that nobody has ever seen before, nobody knows. It was the first time Janis Joplin got signed and that changed her life – do you know that story? “I’m not Clive Davis, I’m Howie Mandel, and I can’t sign you to a record deal. The only thing I can do for you young lady…”
And he slammed the golden buzzer!

Courtney covered her eyes; she just couldn’t believe what just happened. Her father ran onto stage, crying and hugged her as the judges stood and clapped, it was a very emotional moment! The young girl is going straight to the live show and she truly deserves it!
