It is not every day that miracles happen, some people don´t even believe in miracles but what happened to a boy called Trenton McKinley has no other explanation. Trenton is from Mobile, Alabama. Two months ago Trenton was riding in a trailer pulled by a go-cart driven by a friend. Both of them took a curve too fast and Trenton went flying. Trenton´s head hit the concrete and the trailer landed on his head.
Despite he was rushed to the hospital the chance of survival was null. Trenton had seven fractures in his skull and he was dead for 15 minutes. Doctors warned his parents to prepare for the worst
“Trenton died 4 times (and) one time for 15 min. The last time they brought him back he had no brain waves, a damaged brain stem and his heart only beat because of the adrenaline”
“Doctors said the next time his heart stopped they had to let him die…or I could sign a paper to donate his organs to save five other kids… so I signed it… I knew he would not hesitate to save 5 more lives,”his mother Jennifer Nicole Reindl wrote on Facebook.
When Jennifer and her husband were told there was no hope left for their son, he had no chance of surviving but if he did he would never be the same so they decided to take doctors up on the offer of organ donation.
“Five kids needed organs that matched him,” said Reindl. “It was unfair to keep bringing him back, because it was just damaging his organs even more.”
Soon after they signed the organ donation papers and moments before doctors were about to take him off of life support Trenton showed signs of life… It was shocking, no one could believe what was happening! He opened his eyes, slightly moved his hands and feet, and eventually regained full consciousness.
It was a miracle indeed.
Jennifer Reindl said God saved her son's life. “God's got something big planned for that little man.”
Trenton is recovering pretty well, he still has some more surgeries along the way but he is doing great. Doctors really can´t explain how this boy survived, there is no explanation for it, it is a miracle.
Jennifer shared a photo recently and said “A smile today. From my sweet baby boy. All glory to god. … I am so thankful for every second I get to spend my time with my son outside the hospital.”
