Couple Refuses To Be Seated Next To Cops, Cops Respond By Doing This.

A group of police officers had the perfect response to a couple who refused to be seated next to them.

In Homestead, Pennsylvania, tensions between the police and the public were high. Despite working hard to earn the public’s respect, recent high-profile shootings had done little to change the public’s opinion of the police.

A group of police officers were eating together at the Eat N’ Park when a couple entered the restaurant. The couple saw the seated police officers and told the server they didn’t want to sit by the officers.

Officer Thomas heard the couple tell the server that they didn’t want to sit by the officers. Thomas tired to reassure the couple that it was okay to sit by the; however, the man declined.

Instead of being angered by the couple’s shunning, the officers decided to pay the couple’s bill.

“It just dawned on me, I should do this real quick just to show this guy look, I don’t know if you had bad experience with the police in the past — you may have you may have not — but I just want you to know I never had an experience with you and I’m not here to do anything to you. And neither will my partners,” Officer Thomas said.

The officers wrote a note on the bill for the couple: “Sir, your check was paid for by the police officers you didn’t want to sit next to. Thank you for your support.”

After receiving the paid bill and note, the man thanked the officers for his meal.
