The students are expected to pass a computer exam even if they have no access to computers. This is why this teacher was doing it this way. He loved his students so much that he would do anything to help them pass that required exam. They must pass the exam to get into high school.
His acts of dedication to his students was shared on Facebook and it went viral. One person, entrepreneur, Rebecca Enonchong posted a tweet to Microsoft Africa about the determination and dedication of this teacher to his students and asked them if there was something they could do to help this teacher. According to reports, the school had, had no access to computers since 2011.
Once Microsoft Africa found out through the tweet, they decided to give access to a computer to this teacher, Mr. Akoto, and to provide him with free access to their educational program so that he would be able to teach computers to his students with an actual computer.
