We have actually all had the feeling at some stage when attempt as we might, the Christmas spirit just isn't coming. This appears to be the case for famously grumpy Siberian husky Anuko, judging from the results of his festive photoshoot.
With Anuko however, looks can be deceiving. His surly, steely expression isn't really down to any kind of innately grumpy character, quite the opposite in fact. He has constantly had a fierce facial expression considering that his owner, Jasmine, got him as a pup and is really a really relaxed and kind pet dog who shows a fantastic enthusiasm for the fun things in life. “He's kind and he's never so much as growled at anyone– just an unwinded, lazy however cool kind of dog who cannot be troubled for my shenanigans.” Jasmine told the Daily Mail.
We did however share a genuinely miffed minute of Anuko's a few years back, when realising he ‘d been fooled into thinking Jasmine had tossed him a ball. The pictures went viral and have actually changed Jasmine's life completely, she now runs several social media and websites dedicated to Anuko and to huskies in general.
Jasmine found Anuko aged simply 5 weeks old, as she was having a hard time at the time with mental health issues and heard that many like her had benefited from getting a pet. The pair bonded immediately and Anuko has played a big part in her healing and wellness. “I got him for emotional support, to offer me a meaning to life and to encourage me to get out of bed in the morning,” she said. “When I got him I had no assistance in my life, today I have actually pulled myself together and I'm obtaining veterinary school this year.”
So while Anuko may appear to frown at the extremely idea of Christmas, he actually does not discover it so bad. “He likes Christmas in terms of the cold– but not when it pertains to decorations he cannot touch, food he can't eat, and me putting him in clothes,” Jasmine discussed. What is clear nevertheless, is that no matter how grumpy Anuko appears to be on the outside, the two of them might not be happier in each other's business.
