As Sissy Spacek celebrates her 73rd birthday, she knows that her biggest gift in life is the love and support of her one and only, Jack Fisk.

Sissy Fisk is 73 years old and has been married to her husband for 50 years. The couple is enjoying their quiet farm life and still has no regrets about leaving their city life for a more normal life.

Sissy Spacek is a renowned singer and actress with several awards to her name, but despite her success in Hollywood, she and her husband of 50 years, Jack Fisk, have had one the longest and strongest marriages.

The couple recently renovated their barn into a painting and recording studio. Spacek gushed over her husband and said he was an incredible artist from whom she had learned so much from.

The actress also credits her decision to move to a farm and the connection she shares with her husband for her massive success.

She said they both deeply understand each other’s interests and motivations, so they allow one another to pursue what they love.

Spacek could not be more grateful to live in her 70th year and still have such a lively relationship, even though it is shocking how fast time has gone by.

The actress also loves to let her artistic side flourish in her garden; she revealed that she had been adding peonies and woodbox trees to it and proudly said that her garden was beautiful because of her hard work.

Spacek truly loves her quiet life on the farm; one of her favorite things is sitting on her porch with her battery-operated fan and gazing at her surroundings.

While she enjoys her scenic home, Spacek also loves her husband’s sense of humor so much that “it’s so good it’s bad,” said the singer.

However, now that the actress will turn 73 on Christmas day, she was asked how her relationship with her daughters has changed, and she expressed that their roles are reversed, and they take care of her now.

To name a few instances where her children have helped, the actress said whenever they are at the airport, they will be the ones that lead the way to the gates.

But generally, her children appreciate the life they were given growing up and reciprocate that by taking care of her. Spacek’s said her eldest, Schulyer took after her and had a great singing voice; her youngest is a visual artist like her father.

Moving from City to Farm Was The Best Decision for Their Family
At the peak of their fame, Spacek and her husband decided to abandon their life in the city and sold their home in Topanga Cayonon for rural Virginia.

The couple bought a farm in Virginia to give themselves a break from Hollywood and lead a more quiet life. The decision was not only for their sanity, but Spacek wanted to give her daughters a normal life.

It became evident to the actress that it was easy to get consumed by a “movie star life,” so she wanted her children and her husband to know a different and more peaceful life.

Spacek said she needed to live a normal life and be around “normal people,” and she does just that. Despite her fame, the actress buys her own groceries and assists in training the horses she and Fisk raise.

Moving to the farm did a lot of good for her children and her marriage. Her kids got to know what it feels like to play outside and “dirt between their toes” and have a rooted upbringing, and she got to spend more time with Fisk.

Additionally, it was important to the mother of two to give her children a childhood that would allow them to make mistakes without the pressure of the media.

The long-time couple met in 1972 when filming “Badlands,” she was starring in the film, and Fisk was building the set. The actress said she and her husband did not fully believe in the idea of marriage; in fact, after they tied the knot, they put $30 in their bank account because that was how much it cost to get a divorce.

But that $30 never came to use because Spacek and Fisk only got stronger, and now the two do not even imagine without each other. “Now I think it would take something dramatic like death to end it,” said the actress.
