At a fancy event called the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTAs), Prince William, who will be the king one day, looked very sad. He talked about his wife, Kate Middleton, who recently had surgery, but he didn’t say why.
Some people are curious about what happened, but Kate likes to keep her personal life private. Prince Charles, William’s dad, is different—he talks openly about his health problems. But Kate prefers things to stay secret.
The palace said Kate doesn’t have cancer, but they didn’t say much else. Some people think maybe she has Crohn’s Disease or had surgery because of childbirth. But nobody knows for sure. Whatever it is, Kate needed her family’s help a lot.
Especially William, who stopped doing his royal duties for a bit to take care of her and their three kids, George, Charlotte, and Louis.
Kate will go back to her royal duties after Easter when she’s all better. It’s important for her to take care of herself and her family.
And even though people are curious, it’s good that she can keep some things private. Everyone deserves some privacy, even if they’re part of the royal family.
