On Monday, August 5, Jenna Bush Hager, Barbara’s twin sister, initially broke the good news. Co-anchor of the Today program Jenna posted on Instagram about how excited she was to be an aunt once more.

Jenna, 42, wrote, “My sissy had a little mister and I fell madly in love with Edward Finn! ❤️💗👼,” as the caption for a collection of pictures that showed the joyous occasions after Edward’s birth. In one of the photos, Jenna is shown tending to her new nephew, and in another, Jenna observes with admiration as Barbara holds Edward. Edward is shown in a third picture in the exhibition, sleeping soundly in his mother’s arms.

Despite Jenna’s lack of information on her nephew’s birth, the pictures show the family’s happiness. Notably, Today.com noted that Edward was spotted sporting a cap from NYU Langone Health, suggesting that Barbara might have given birth at the esteemed New York City hospital.

George W. Bush and his wife Laura have expressed their joy at becoming grandparents on previous occasions. The first lady and former president made a joint announcement to celebrate the birth of their daughter, Cora, together.
