A news outlet has unveiled the details surrounding the deaths of a rapper and his young daughter, whose lives were taken while they were at a car wash. The car wash also spoke out on the tragedy.
A community in Forest Hill, Texas, is reeling after a heartbreaking act of violence claimed the lives of a father and his young daughter at a local car wash on Monday morning (March 3, 2025).

Authorities identified the victims as 30-year-old Ronnie Smith, a local rapper known by the stage name G$ Lil Ronnie, and his daughter, R'Mani. According to family members, the tragedy came just one day after the little girl's fifth birthday celebration.
The shooting occurred at Slappy's Express Car Wash, located along Forest Hill Drive, shortly before 11 a.m. (around 10:45 a.m.).

Police say Smith and his daughter were inside a parked vehicle when two individuals drove up in a white Kia sedan and began shooting. The suspects fled immediately after the attack. Both Smith and his daughter were pronounced dead at the scene.
Family members say Smith was simply cleaning his car when the violence erupted, leaving loved ones devastated and searching for answers.

According to Smith's aunt Stella Houston, “All we know is that he was cleaning the car out and somebody came through shooting and killed him and the baby.” More details on the story will follow shortly.
